How long have you been in business?
Barber has a strong history in the mortuary and funeral markets. Previous affiliations have been with Cox, a company established in 1860 and Lear of London (as Lear Barber), a long established funeral and embalming supplies company. Barber started trading as Barber of Sheffield in 1989 but has since branched out into broader medical supplies and we now supply the mortuary, pathology, emergency services, education and research, funeral and specific religious markets as Barber Medical.
I want to set up an account with Barber Medical. How do I do this?
To create a valid online account, click “Account” link located in the top header of the website. Registration will only take a few minutes; simply follow the account setup details. You will be asked to supply shipping and billing information as well as a unique username and password. Once your account has been activated then you will receive email confirmation and you can use these details to access your account for future use.
I have forgotten the password to my account. How do I get a new one?
If you forget the password to your account, click the link “Forgot your password?” found below the box where you would normally enter your password details. This will send you an auto-generated email with details of a temporary password to login to your account. You may then change your password to something that you will remember by accessing your account and changing your details.
Is there any minimum order value?
There is no minimum order value. Small items such as an individual pack of needles may be shipped by Royal Mail at standard postage price according to its weight.
How do I place an order online for quotation only products?
Call us direct on +44 (0)114 257 6022 to speak to one of our sales team who will be able to provide you with further information on prices and delivery times. Alternatively, you can visit our Contact page and fill our relevant details requesting a quote. Depending on the type of order that you would like to place, you may be asked to provide additional details.
I am an international customer and would like to place an order. How do I do this?
Barber Medical have a strong presence in the international market and can ship anywhere in the world. You can place an order on stock items as standard by checking out as a guest or by using your login details. Any products labelled as quotation only are to be paid for by pro-forma only. Please contact us direct on +44 (0)114 257 6022 or visit our contact page to receive an up to date quotation and estimated shipping charge.
How can I check my order history and order tracking information online?
You must login to your account by clicking on the “Account” link in the top header of the website and login to your account by providing your unique username and password. In the “My Account” section, click on the “view order history” link and locate the order number that you are looking for more information on. Any items on backorder will also be shown and will have shipping information next to them.
Are all orders secure when placing an order online?
Yes, we provide safe and secure ordering via our online platform www.barbermedical.com. For security reasons, we do not store card details so your details are never compromised. We also assure you that we have no affiliations with 3rd parties to pass on customer details for reuse.
How do I cancel an order before it ships?
Orders may be cancelled, provided the order cancellation request is received prior to order shipment. All stock orders are shipped promptly Monday to Friday at 4.30pm. When the order has been cancelled, you will receive an email confirmation and your account will be credited for the full amount within up to 3 working days.
I would like to return part of my order. How do I do this?
Products delivered are non-returnable except by prior agreement. Any requests for credit or replacements for shortages or damage in transit must be notified to us within 3 days of receipt of the goods or in case of non-delivery, within 10 days of receipt of invoice.
Returned goods that are not faulty or have not been sent in error with be credited at 80% of the original invoice value and must be returned to us in a re-saleable condition within 2 weeks.
I was told my order would arrive within a week. Why have I not received it yet?
Unfortunately, we accept no liability for delay of items by any cause not directly within our control.
Can I collect my order instead of paying a shipping charge?
Yes, you can collect any stock items from us at our contact address in Sheffield. Visit our contact page for full address details. Please call in advance on +44 (0)114 257 6022 to place the order so we can prepare the collection in advance.
I ordered a product last month and I cannot find it on the website. Where would it be?
This product could have been discontinued or replaced with an alternative. Due to a programme of continuous product development, we reserve the right to amend specification, design and price without prior knowledge.
How do I join Barber Medicals mailing list for discounts, promotions and special offers?
You may join the mailing list by selecting “Our Newsletter” tab in the bottom tabs of the homepage. Here you can enter your email address and subscribe to all future new information and special offers. You can easily unsubscribe to these emails at any time by pressing “unsubscribe” on one of the email promotions.
